Misplaced our reservation for 15 peopleHad to wait. 1/2 hour before they shoved some tables together and crammed us into this space. Food was pretty good. Loved the fresh fruit with sandwich.

The food is always good. Homemade soup is the best. Service is wonderful and friendly.

Worst breakfast spot I’ve ever been to. First the way the tables are cleaned with a dirty rag. The tag is never put into solution in between wiping of different tables. There were a bunch of flies in the large dining room. I ordered an egg white omelette with broccoli and bacon. There were barely any eggs in the omelette. It was All bacon and uncooked broccoli. The English muffin was so soggy with butter it was Disgusting. The waitress didn’t even come over to check on us until the end of the meal. She apologized and offered for something else to be made but by then the entire party was done eating and just overall cleanliness of establishment had me grossed out. I will never recommend this spot for breakfast

Not a lot of great diner options in Skaneateles. This place is probably your best choice.

We stopped at Hill Top on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Service was amazing and food was delicious! Priced economically.

Service was awesome...we had the fried fish sandwich! Delish...fish was tender and Perfect!

Excellent food and service

Despite not being busy, it took a while before anyone even greeted us when we walked in. When they did, it was just a "sit anywhere". The young lady who took our drink order, like a deer in headlights, didn't even say hello. Just stared aimlessly while slowly passing menus to us. Our actual waitress was quite pleasant and have us our first warm welcome. She was the nicest thing about this establishment. Even though the menu was simple the food was disappointingly sub par at best. Even simple items such as pancakes and French toast were just disappointing. I wouldn't personally return or recommend this establishment. Save your money. Plenty of other nearby eats that are far more worth it.

Good food, excellent prices, friendly atmosphere

Great food, great people, nuff said.But to say more anyway, all the food is delicious and plentiful. I've only gotten breakfast, but I'm sure it's all good. Get a grilled muffin!

Wasn't good eggs was nasty been sitting had green tint to them and the bacon was burnt hash was undercooked and greasy wait staff was A+ so something was right

We had breakfast, all our food was amazing. Fresh sliced strawberries on out French toast. Out waitress was amazing can't remember her name but she was the only blonde blonde working today 8/1

I would say each part of our experience was. The wait when we got there seemed a little disorganized. It took a while to take our name and then seemed like everyone around us got seated and we were still left waiting, even as new guests came in a got seated. Finally after getting us a booth, we waited 15 minutes to have our order taken (we had to go find our own menus). Our waitress was great, but I think she had way too many tables to where she couldn't make it around to everyone quick enough. Our food took 15 minutes to come out which I think was standard for how busy it was. Everyone's food was warm and tasted great. The portions were also pretty large for a great price.

Been going here for 60 years since the whole place was called Cedar House, and there was a pool parlor in the basement. Out standing service; every Monday specials on burgers and chicken. Today the house special was bbq ribs. I NEVER pass those up. As always

Delicious breakfast with affordable price and smiley staff.

It isn't exceptionally good but the prices and portions make it a good value. You know you're eating something comparable to Shur Fine brand. Their bacon is too crispy and flavorless, eggs are lackluster, home fries are inconsistent in doneness and shy on salt. All in all, food is ho hum but service is pretty good.

No steak and eggs

Hilltop is the quintessential small town diner: a robust all-day breakfast menu, real burgers off the grill, and classic meat-and-potato dinner specials. Frequented by locals, you can come for great food, stay for the the local inside scoop. Service on Sundays can be a tiny bit slow, but they keep the coffee flowing.

Diner food. The staff really make the place great. Just good friendly people here that keep your cup of coffee fresh and friendly chatter. It’s my quick g-to for breakfast. Family friendly. Food/ menu could use some refreshing but overall alright

Love this place, called for 2 chicken parmesans and it was done by the time I got there! Always takes exactly how long they say. Thos two meals fed four people.

This was my first time at HILL TOP and it won't be my last. We all had a great lunch! The food was fresh and prepared as ordered.

Very spacious foods good

This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and lunch - very homey and food tastes just like Gramma used to make! Excellent staff; separate checks are never a problem, relaxed atmosphere - this place has it all!

The hostess was very rude she didnt even say hi and practically threw the menus at us. Then we had to ask if someone was going to come take our order. This was my first time here and everyone had raved about it....I was not impressed. The food was okay but my burger was very bland. They were all standing around gossiping. The floor was absolutely disgusting.

Good place always stop here with my son on mondays after Ice skating they are good with him and I'm happy with what I get.I always go in wanting a hot Turkey sandwich and some how pick somthing else and its always spot on Haha!

First time there and we enjoyed great food, service, and prices we in the ball park. We will definitely be back.

Breakfast was amazing. However I placed my dinner order at 11:30 am for dinner which was "supposed to be", the dinner special which was on the menu board for special steak and lobster. Well it was supposed to be picked up at 530. For the And the waitress working says we are sorry you want steak AND shrimp... NO I ORDERED WHAT WAS ON YOUR MENU AT BREAKFAST TIME WHY Didn't I GET MY DINNER ????? What a bumdeal. The reason I ordered at breakfast was to get my dinner and it not to be sold out ...

I'm from out of town and all I can say is this is just your average diner. If you want some breakfast that's not terrible it's fine but it's nowhere that I would say is amazing and I'd come back. I wasnt necessarily disappointed but wasn't wowed either 🤷‍♀️
